Kym Lawrence found a way to get her students engaged in a hands-on activity during a lesson on magnetism and electricity.

Lawrence is a third-grade teacher at Mount Holly Elementary and is sharing her knowledge on kits for Snap Circuits.

成人自拍视频She said after briefly introducing kits and talking about expectations and managing the kits, the teacher becomes a true facilitator of student learning.

These kits come with step-by-step instruction manuals with illustrations that student groups can easily follow to create 100 different circuits.

“Students can construct working models of a photo sensor, a flashing light, an adjustable-volume siren and much more,” she said.

A few things that help implement the activity:

  • Several electric Snap kits
  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Snap Kits lesson plans

NOTES: Lawrence has used the kits at the end of the electricity and magnetism unit so she incorporated electricity vocabulary for her students.
